First Snow 2009

It snowed for the first time this season a few days ago. Didn't stay long though.

The Snow is Almost Gone

Here's a little experiment I did last year. It's 32 pictures taken from April 5th to 22nd of the snow melting in the front yard.

Back to Spring and then Winter Again

Where were we? Oh yeah, we went from spring back to winter, then a bit of summer. While I was out there were a couple days of spring again, the tulips are starting to poke their heads up, but then we went straight back to winter. Crazy weather!

Winter Again!

After a beautiful weekend of Spring, we get buried again in 32 cm (a little over a foot) of snow.

I Got a Dent in my Car

I hit a snow bank the other day and put a big dent in my bumper. Sorry, haven't had much inspiration lately.

A Walk in the Park (Part 2)

We found this poor, lone mitten hanging in a twig. We tried to come up with something clever for the caption, something about being lonely makes you blue or something to do with being bent over, but couldn't get it to come out just right.



This cabin is beautiful, inside and out. It's owned by the city and is available to rent for parties and meetings or whatever. I've been in it a few times, but don't have any photos. Maybe someday.

A Walk in the Park

My wife and I went for a walk in a local park a few days ago. I took some pictures.

Snow

Well I finally made it outside again, although, I'm still stuck in macro mode. I was trying to get a really nice, well structured snowflake. These flakes are all a couple days old, I need to get out quicker then that, while it's still snowing, I think.

Birds

I got a new lens for Chrismas!  It's a Canon EF-S 55-250 with Image Stableization.  I tested it out on some birds and a squirrel that liked to chase birds and hog all the seed for himself. I really like the first one, too bad he was looking away from the camera.  The Bluejay was taken looking sideways through a window, so it's not as clear.
